What can we do with our time?
Stoke Your Woke was Created for These Times
How are you?
Not such easy times right now.
With all the uncertainty.
And we want you to know we are thinking about you.
Sending our love and care your way.
You matter.
All beings matter.
And-------what do some of us have right now?
Time. More time on our hands.
Do we choose to explore, transform and raise our consciousness with some of our time??
We say YES. Consider spending some of your moments with projects like ours!
In 2017 when the questions for Stoke Your Woke came tumbling down, we were beginning to experience unprecedented fire and flood/hurricane seasons.
Or maybe it would be better to say; I was being directly impacted. Affected in a more significant, in my bones, way.
My heart hurt over it. My throat and eyes burned when I went outside. So many places I loved burned to the ground. So much wildlife died. A lot of grief rose. Out of that grief, this book and process was born.
And here we are three, or so, years later with a virus that has shifted the way we go about our days. In a whirlwind.
And isn’t that something?
To see how quickly we adjust to living life differently in order to save ourselves.
The climate crisis is a bit harder to wrap our heads around. As are all the other big challenges we face as a society and world.
They are more subtle. Been here longer.
And it’s difficult to say whether the virus is at all related to climate, overpopulation, EMFs etc... or simply a living entity who is attempting to do just that, live. Or is it Mother Nature letting us know she is unhappy? Or??
With all that said.
It is a wake up call.
Stoke Your Woke was created for these times.
If you’ve got one in your hot little hand give it a go.
If it’s collecting dust on a shelf.
Take it down.
Brush it off.

Let me entice you ---
It’s a workbook that explores consciousness and reshapes culture.
Writing helps us get the swirling thoughts out of our heads.
Our eyes take in our words differently-- a break from letting them roll around in the noggin.
Doing this kind of work now is taking care of the future. In a fresh way.
To see our thoughts, feelings, idea’s. To Wonder. To sense more deeply. To imagine.
Radical. :-)
WE are acting to grow our collective consciousness. To reorient to a "self and world", "me and we" heart and mindset. To embody our interconnectivity.
The prompts give you a fresh map of the world.
Over time that begins to settle in.
Your horizons widen.
Your ground cracks and shifts.
Expanding more often than contracting.
I wonder about how this will affect our great great grandchildren?
I wonder about the stories I am hearing? The stories I am telling myself?
Changing our ways of knowing. Takes practice!
This particular practice has beauty, wonder, hope, and empowerment embedded in it.
Bring this practice into your life. Take 15 minutes. Do it with a friend.
Pause. Breathe. Settle. Write. Muse. Wonder. What rises?
Feel the magic.
Dance through one page a day.
It's an EMPOWERING process.
Commit to doing this for two weeks.
One page a day.
And then sit back and notice.
Pause.
How do you see the world after two weeks of this practice?
Are there any big, or not so big aha’s?
Chat us up. Let us know how it goes!
See it as building a new muscle.
Exercise for your consciousness.
To grow into self and world. Me and we.
These days are made for it.
Wonder. Contemplate. Write. Reflect. Consider. Intend. And press repeat.
We are the change we have been waiting for.
Reach out. Reach in. Take care of those around you.
Know you are loved.
With a smile, and a hug, and a heart full of hope.
Carol
p.s We know there are other resources out there for you to work with to raise, explore or transform your consciousness. We really love the ones that connect mindfulness with social and environmental well-being. Here are a few---The Work That Reconnects. Commonway Institutes Campaign for Humanity.
And if you want to support our work, Casey just created a donation page HERE
p.s.s. It’s difficult to not feel fear and anxiety. It's helpful for me to simply notice and acknowledge the feelings. To say hello to them like I do to you.
And---Here are my favorite ways to settle my body: Hum, dance, sing, laugh, shake, savor a cup of tea, bring my attention to my feet, step outside, bring myself back to the body through my senses (breath in the scent of something I love, touch a tree, listen to the birds, taste a cup of tea, look at the photo of my Mom), call a friend, splash my face with cold water! This moment. This precious one. Is all we have. Keep coming back to it. You’ve got this. We’ve got each other.
p.s.s.s. Drumroll please!! We are rebranding and super excited about the new look and name. And---holy moly, we are working on a second book. ---I know, right. Lots of creativity burbling up.--- More questions and prompts and beauty about another important aspect of our lives.
More later. We are super excited. We hope you will be too.
