The Personal Guidebook can be used by anyone looking to deepen their connection with friends, family, partners or as a foundation for entering into future relationships. Originally designed for each partner to use privately in preparation for coming together, the personal guidebook has also proven beneficial for just about anyone interested in being in closer relationship with others and themselves.

The Shared Guidebook is where two people come together. It was originally designed to guide partners through each question together after they had each spent time with the same question in their Personal Guidebooks. In practice, this book can standalone or can be used in tandem with the Personal Guidebook, should one or both partners process best through writing and with additional time to process the question.

two guidebooks to bring us closer together.

Being in relationship is personal and nuanced. Each partnership is unique. And oftentimes, language can be limiting. Each one of us have walked different paths, picking up relationship cues and “rules” along the way, some helpful, some stuck in broken systems and unhealthy ways of being. By gaining awareness about our histories, our habits and our preferences, we can navigate new ways and move toward greater intimacy: a giving and receiving with reciprocity, care and honor for one another and the more than human world.

WONDER UPRISING'S RELATIONAL INTIMACY SERIES includes two guidebooks: the Personal Guidebook, and the Shared Guidebook. The books can be used in a multitude of ways to awaken our relational selves. The two books have all the same primary questions, however they have different writing prompts that spawn different paths of inquiry and reflection depending on if you are using it alone (personal) or with a partner (shared).

The 34 questions that the two guidebooks share fall within these 7 categories: The Essentials, Sharing the Care, Intimacy is a Landscape, Riding the Waves, Seeing the Unseen, Sharing the Resources, A Community of Beings. Thought provoking prompts will help you move through each question and draw out thoughts, beliefs and personal truths.
