Working with Casey

A designer, mom, community activist, and cultural questioner, Casey is constantly reimagining the world around her. A Bend native, she holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Visual Design and a minor in Business Administration from the University of Oregon. A graphic designer since 2000, Casey believes in the power of design and beauty in service to creating a more equitable, engaging world where humanity and the natural world can thrive together. Casey filters the projects that come her way and prioritizes work that weave social and environmental justice and healing. The work that fills her up these days is with people and projects that dare to ask challenging questions, that foster ‘power with’ relationships, that center marginalized voices, and work to heal our broken relationship with the more than human world. She is often tasked to filter complex technical data into a visual story that clients use to explain their work to conservation communities, legislators, funders and the public. Current clients include Reciprocity Consulting, Oregon Watershed Enhancement Board (OWEB), Deschutes River Conservancy, Upper Deschutes Watershed Council, and Bonneville Environmental Foundation (BEF).

Casey is passionate about creating community through connection and design wherever she lives. Currently, she loves living and learning with her husband and son in a cohousing community in Bend, OR. On warm summer evenings, you’ll likely find her playing songs on her ukulele and singing with neighbors while the kids frolic and dance in the meadow. If you live in Bend, you've probably seen her commuting via cargo bike with her son on the back. It is their preferred mode of transit.
